Relics of the Passion
A wonderful Apostolate exists called the
Apostolate for Holy Relics. They have a traveling relic exhibit called
the Relics of the Passion. It includes 2 small splinters from the
Cross on which Jesus died and a piece of the crown of thorns that was
placed on Jesus’ head. In addition they have a fragment from the column
where Jesus was flogged and a piece of a bone from the body of the
centurion who pierced Jesus’ side with a lance. There are 8 relics in
total. Parishes are encouraged to invite this traveling exhibit to
their Church. There is no cost to the visit they ask only to place a
good will offering basket out for donations to cover travel expenses.
The coordinator of the exhibit can explain all the details with anyone
who is interested.
